California STEP Export Voucher Preparation Tool

The California State Trade Expansion Program “STEP” is designed to offer financial assistance for exporting activities to eligible California small businesses in pre-selected International Trade Shows, Trade Missions, or the STEP Export Voucher (previously known as the Individual Company Export Promotion program or ICEP) which reimburses for eligible export-promotion-related expenses.

Eligible California businesses can receive up to $10,000 to offset 75% of approved expenses for the Export Voucher Program and participate in up to two (2) STEP Events within the federal fiscal period of October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2023. Participation in additional events will be considered pending space and funding availability.

This tool is intended to assist you with preparing your responses for the California STEP Export Voucher program.

Once you prepare your answers, you will be directed to the STEP grant portal site to submit your STEP Export Voucher Application.
